03/01/2011 It was a day of fun at a neighbourhood development programme held at the Majidee Multipurpose Hall at Kampung Dato Sulaiman Menteri in Johor Baru recently. It was organised by the village committee and the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB). The programme with the theme 1Community Family Day was aimed at strengthening social support and the community spirit in the village. More importantly, the interaction of community members will help fight crime in the neighbourhood. Mok Chek Hou said the village had a high crime index. "We hope to revive the infrastructure and human capital development so that villagers will be able to live a quality life. We organised drug prevention and anti-crime campaigns," he said.
