Mok Chek Hou officiating Johor Bahru Senior Citizen Association 22nd Annivesary Dinner

29/12/2010 MORE than 500 members of the Johor Baru Senior Citizens Association (JBSCA) attended a dinner party in conjunction with the association's 22nd anniversary recently. The event was also held to commemorate the annual World Senior Citizen's Day. The entertainment for the day involved a karaoke competition, belly dance and folk dance. Guests also received attractive door gifts at the do which was held at a restaurant in Permas Jaya, Johor Baru. The highlight of the evening was the Grandma Beauty Contest. Fourteen contestants strutted down the catwalk. Some of them were models and winners of district or state-level beauty pageants in their younger days. Guests-of-honour were Stulang state assemblyman Mok Chek Hou and Kempas state assemblyman Datuk Osman Sapian.  Tokens of appreciation were given to corporations, government agencies and sponsors who contributed to JBSCA's cause.
